I am Zoltán Harmat M.D. radiologist, clinical chief physican, certified interventional radiologist, regional cheif medical specialist of radiology. I was graduated in 1995 at the University of Pécs. After the graduation I started working at the radiology clinic at Pécs. In 1999 I have got the specialist exam in radiology, in 2010 I took the exam in interventional radiology.
My interest was initially in the tissue sampling guided by the imaging modalities, then my priority became the ultrasound examinations via contrast agents.
In the last 13 years the one of my main concern is the treatment of fibroids by interventional catheter therapy. Furthermore, my other leading activity is in ultrasound diagnostics together with the interventional radiological methods.
I have attended numerous congresses at home and abroad, where I have given more than a hundred lectures. I am the author of 15 scientific articles and 5 book chapters.
I’m on the board of the Hungarian Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society (MACIRT), member of the Hungarian and the European Radiological Society (MRT, ESR) and the European Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society (CIRSE).
