Dzsinich Csaba M.D.

Vascular surgeon

I earned my medical degree summa cum laude at the University of Budapest (now Semmelweis University). After graduation, I spent two years at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Medical Research Institute (KOKI) as an academic scholar. I then joined the IVth Department of Surgery at the Városmajor Street Hospital, where I passed the specialist surgical exam with distinction.

In 1975–1976, I was granted an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation scholarship to work at the Surgical Clinic of the University of Munich, where I obtained my vascular surgery specialization. From 1978 onwards, I led a vascular surgery division in one of the clinical departments. In 1985, I defended my Candidate’s thesis. Between 1990 and 1991, I worked as a researcher at the Mayo Clinic, one of the world’s leading medical centers in the United States. In 1996, I was appointed as a university professor.

In 2007, I accepted the leadership of the vascular surgery department within the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division at Honvéd Hospital, where I continued until 2019. Since 2021, I have been a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. For the past 24 years, I have also practiced privately, performing outpatient consultations, day-surgery procedures, and follow-up examinations
